Attention! All saunas should be maintained outdoors during or shortly after installation to ensure the products are weather and UV protected from the sun. This is especially important in the case of barrel saunas, where flush models require adjustment of the straps after some time if gaps begin to appear. This is less common with thermowood walls, as the screws can also be left in the walls with thermowood.

The barrel sauna 400 DeLux (half-moon glass) has a rear side, where the upper half is made of glass, which allows you to see the surroundings during the sauna. This significantly enhances the experience and lets in additional daylight. This model is also available in our range with full-moon glass.

The barrel sauna is large enough to accommodate all your friends, up to 7 people at a time, but still small enough to warm up quickly. In addition to the sauna, there is also a terrace with space for two, as well as a room that can be used as a changing room or simply for relaxation.

Type of wood:

Spruce: (lifespan 10-15 years / strength class 3 / easy to care for)

This type of wood is white, light and soft, making it versatile, functional and easy to care for. Spruce wood can be stained in almost any colour to match the garden landscape, which is not possible with thermowood or larch. Spruce is one of the strongest types of wood, strong, unyielding and durable. It is not naturally resistant to rot, so it requires regular care and sealing, but with proper care it will last a very long time.

Thermowood: (lifespan 15-25 years / strength class 2 / easy to maintain

Thermowood is heat-treated wood and is darker than natural wood. It is also more resistant to weather conditions and rot. Thermowood is created in a multi-stage process without the use of chemicals at high temperatures. Thermowood is later much lighter than before, and thanks to thermal modification, the resin content is reduced by up to 90%. As a result, the wood no longer releases any sap, even at high temperatures. The insulating properties of the wood improve, it becomes more durable and less susceptible to deformation under the influence of moisture, which makes it an ideal wood for outdoor use. Not all elements can be heat treated. This process mainly involves thick structural boards, which constitute walls, ceiling or floor. Things like benches, floor grates, windows, doors, door handles and paneling are not taken into account.
